This institute has a place of training and equipping all the people of God who are called to serve God within the Church and in the world, the people of God being bridge between the Church and the World. This institute will provide opportunity for training for the Sunday school teachers, the secretaries, treasurers and the members of the Pastorate Committees for the meaningful participation and co-operation in the mission of the Church and for various professional and working groups for the effective witnessing through their vocation.

Through this institute we are also engaged in the process of exploring possibilities of building up curriculum under the guidance of our Bishop for the various training programs. This institute will also provide opportunity for the Lay-people for pursuing theological education through programs offered by the SCEPTER, an extension program of the Senate of Serampore College.
